| The Hedgehog\'s Skin played for the annual NYE ceilidh in Allendale Village Hall, run by Larry and Carrie Winger, from 2006. It has always been a wonderful night, with the village hall packed full of people dancing (not to mention enjoying Carrie\'s great food), before heading out to the Allendale Tar Bar\'ls by midnight. Larry and Carrie stepped back from the event after 2015, and the band took over organising the event. From 2018 we have run it in partnership with the Allen Valleys Folk Festival. While ceilidh dancing remains the focus of the night, there will also be a number of fabulous special guest spots and performances, as well as a festive supper. |
